The Mob Museum, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is more than just a museum. Offering interactive experiences, such as the Crime Scene Investigator and Firearms Training, as well as having a Distillery and Speakeasy on premises make this a fun adventure for anyone.  There are three floors of traditional museum with displays, exhibits, and films exploring different pathways of organized crime, the most notorious crime lords, and public portrayal of such events. Drugs, murder, money laundering, animal poaching, human trafficking, and more will keep visitors interested in the educational components. You can do a self-guided tour, audio tour, or group led tour.  I did the Crime Scene experience and the Firearms Training experience. For the Crime Scene experience, you enter a laboratory through a door with a fingerprint on it. Inside, you complete several stages of forensics with an introduction to each to help you through.   Hook Island. I'm not sure where it is; I was brought on a boat. We started in the Boca Ciega Bay, but I know for certain that is not where Hook Island is located. The bay water is brown and disgusting and dirty and gross and this water was a bluish-green almost like in the Caribbean. We probably ended up somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico...anywhos it's near St. Pete Beach, Florida. It's just an island. No buildings, no anything. Trees and sand and water. That's what it is. Plenty of boats pull up and dock there. Barbecues, camping, and bonfires are common. I liked it. Just beware of the strong current and sand spurs. Other than that, wear sunscreen and have fun!

  Warrington Farm is kind of a rip off in my opinion. $2 to pet a couple animals (cows, pigs, and horses) maybe isn't so bad, but $30 for a pumpkin is, especially when down the road at Blade Orchard you can get pumpkins just as large for $6. Besides the price, Warrington doesn't even grow their own pumpkins. They buy them at Councell Farms in Cordova, just like anyone else can, then they sell them at a higher price to make a profit. Definitely a not-nice move. But they're right off the highway and are in a convenient location, so if you want convenience and don't care about prices, feel free to stop by.

Back in August, I visited the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida. This museum is all about the Ringling Bro's Circus. Being as I went on a field trip, I did not get much time to explore but the little I could I found interesting. I wish it had been an actual circus, but the miniature displays that were actually quite large were very impressive. It was like being a giant looking down upon a circus or like God watching from above - the figurines moved and everything! The museum however was only one part of the place however. Outside there was a garden and there were several other buildings still left for me to explore by the time I had to leave. The giftshop and Starbucks on site made the heat more bareable, but took valueable time away that I would have liked to spent in another building or looking more at the cool trees outside, or maybe even playing on the playground I saw. 2013 Mount2000 theme Picture from the Mount2000 facebook page Last year was my first time going to Mount2000; this year I went again. Mount2000 is a weekend Catholic retreat for high schoolers. Well over 1,600 Catholics from throughout the nation gather at Mount St. Mary's University, in Emmitsburg, Maryland, to grow in their faith and their love of God. This year, out of those 1600+ people, over 1000 of them went to Confession. Reconciliation was not the only thing going on, though. Speakers such as Mark Hart and Jackie Francois, gave inspirational speeches and Father Mike Schmitz gave homilies that made everyone want to go to church everyday, just to hear! The Josh Blakesley Band made it fun with their music, and everyone had a good time. The dean of Mount St. Mary's even gave a speech and granted a minimum 6,000 dollar ($24,000 total for 4 years) scholarships to everyone attending Mount2000, if they choose to go to Mount St. Mary's University.             During winter break, my cousins and I took a trip into New York City, at the La MaMa Ellen Stewart Theatre, to watch the Yara Arts Group perform Midwinter Night, an Ukrainian concert.  Mostly preformed in Ukrainian, with some English translations throughout and a scene or two in Spanish, it really helped to show the diversities and similarities of different cultures that I am familiar with.              Being a Ukrainian group, going into the theatre I expected to not understand anything they were singing or saying and simply absorbing the traditions of the culture, such as I had done in St. Petersburg when we saw the Russian group give a concert.  It was nice that they translated some of their songs into English and sang part English, part Ukrainian throughout the songs.              The costumes also defi...

IT SMELLS SOOOOO GOOD!! Okay, little kid moment dealt with, I'll try to explain what I mean. Everywhere I would go in Corolla, not Duck or Kitty Hawk, just Corolla, there would be this smell. It was sorta a sweet smell, kinda an oceany smell? I don't really know how to explain it, but its definitely the best smell I've ever smelt (even better than Hollister!). I've often wondered what Heaven would smell like (yes, I understand I'm not normal, haha) and I'm fairly certain I think I've just found out. While on our boards in the ocean, it seemed to be carried in by the wind, coming off the water from the north. We went with school on a field trip. It had been my second time to the Herr’s factory, but my first with school, or rather, any group at all. Upon first arriving at the factory, not much seemed familiar, but it had been a while since my last visit, so I guess that was to be expected. So, you walk into the factory and there is a gift shop off to the right and a café off to the left. Chipper’s Café is what it’s called. A bit of to the left but still mainly centered is a set of doors leading to a theatre. This is where the tour begins. When you first start the tour, you go into the theatre and watch a short, 10-minute video on the history of the factory and the company. The Skate Zone in Crofton, MD is a rollerskating rink. They have an arcade and a place for food. You can either bring your own skates or rent theirs. I went there for a rollerskating trip with Jobs Daughters and I had tons of fun. They do fun games, lights off, backward skate, and more. They play popular music and even have giant televisions playing on the walls. Phineas and Ferb was on while I was there! :D Its a good place to go if you're looking to go rollerskating in Maryland. I had fun and I'm sure you will, too.

   Amber and Trish talking to people about the Masonic Youth. Last Sunday, right before Hurricane Irene became the most destructive, me, my sister, and my mom went to the Masonic Mid-Shore Crab Feast to promote the Masonic Youth, such as Job's Daughters, DeMolay, and Rainbow. It was raining pretty hard, as Hurricane Irene had already started. But it wasn't cancelled, so we drove to Easton, MD.  We had planned on setting up a table and just leaving it for people to come look at and take some information from, but the wind had a different idea. Each time we set it up, the posters and fliers would be blown away, so we packed it up and decided to just go from table to table after we ate.  The food was good, but not as good as I thought it would be. They had plenty of food, though, since most people did not show up because of the hurricane. Betterton Beach is a beach located on the Chesapeake Bay in Betterton, MD. Across the bay is Aberdeen, MD and Bel Air, MD. Betterton is a few miles near Chestertown, MD. It's really flat for being part of the Chesapeake bay, and you only get a few waves when big boats go by. Noodles are great in this water. What's so good about it is that all year, there are no jellyfish! It can be kind of cold, though, but so can any body of water. Its a small beach. Its free to go in and there is a resturant right up the hill from it. If you're in the area during the summer, you should go check it out!

Fager's Island is a restuarant located on the Bay Side of Ocean City, Maryland. It is much like Seacrets and often compared to Seacrets, though I personally like Seacrets a lot better. Fager's Island is the Hawaii of Ocean City. (Seacret's is the Jamacia of Ocean City.) The food is good, but overpriced, and the non-alcoholic daquiris were not good at all. But on Tuesdays, they have Paddleboard Lessons (a picture of me and my sister doing this is above) for $5 when you eat at the resturant. Honestly, you don't need to though because they don't check for a recipet and there is no way to know where you ate. It was a good experience doing the paddleboard and I had fun. :) They have longer lessons too if you are interested. I would reccomend doing the paddleboarding, though the food I would say to skip. They also have a store there as well.

If you live in Delaware or on Maryland's Eastern Shore, come to the Mid Shore Crab Feast!! It is to be held at the Tuckahoe Sports place in Easton, MD on August 27th from 11AM-4PM. Food will start at 1pm. Adults $30, Kids $10. If you don't like crabs, don't worry - there will be a large selection of other food too! Just come prepared to have a good time! I'll be there at a table for Masonic Youth. Stop by and say hi!

Ocean City, MD is like any other city by the ocean. It has the sand, it has the water, and it has a boardwalk. The boardwalk in Ocean City has so many different stores, you could spend hours shopping there. It also features a nice variety of hotels and resturants. You can walk to the beach from the boardwalk and you can see the water while standing on it. On one side of the boardwalk is the road, the other the ocean. The boardwalk is litterally boards that you walk on! It's a wooden walkway. You can even ride rides on the boardwalk! There are 2 places to ride rides on the Ocean City boardwalk, and tons of places to play games! H2O is an Under 21 Dance Club located in Ocean City, Maryland, USA. It has the honor of being the biggest dance club on the East Coast and is the only Under 21 club in Ocean City. It opens at 8:30 (but they start checking at about 8) for $10 or after 8:30 for $20. You must be between the ages of 15-20 to enter. Each night they have a different celebration. Monday is Free T-Shirt and Highlighter night, Tuesday is TV Dance Show Filming & Billabong Bikini Fashion Show night, Wednesday is when MTV Celebrities come, Thursday and Sunday are Foam Parties, Friday is a Stoplight night, and Saturday is the largest East Coast dance party. Every Wednesday they have a celebrity from MTV. Princess Kate and I went on Friday - Stoplight night. What this means is everyone gets a glowstick to represent thier relationship status. Green for single, yellow for talking to someone, and red for in a relationship. Me and Kate were both green. Well, I have to say. It was definately not...

Little Monsters dressed as the Mother Monster As you may or may not know, in February, I attended Lady GaGa's Monster Ball Tour. We had VIP tickets that came with a preshow party. Like every concert, there were people on the streets selling and buying tickets. Who knows if they were real or not? Me and my cousin, Elena, playing DJ for a picture The preshow party was not as I expected it to be. I expected it to be on the main floor, in front of the stage, with a disco ball and music so loud it would make you go deaf. Instead, it was upstairs in a large room with a bar. Sodas, hamburgers, chips, cookies, vegetables, and other selected food items were avaliable. During the early parts, Lady GaGa was actually walking around herself, though we got there a half hour too late! There was a DJ playing all types of songs and artists, though TVs were scattered around the room playing Lady GaGa music videos. The final stop on our cruise was Nynashamn, Sweden. We took a cab into Stockholm. There, we visited the Vasa Museum. The Vasa was a war ship that never made it 15,000 kilometers to sea before sinking. It was pretty cool and a must-see in Sweden. The cab gave us a tour and took us all over, though since it was Midsummer Holiday, everywhere was packed, so we didn't stop anywhere. They also have a Tivoli Gardens, and if you dress as if you were in the 15th century, you get in for free. The coffee is supposedly some of the best in the world, and the ice cream is definately good! The ABBA Museum wasn't opened, but if it was, it would be a major visit, too. Have fun if you go to Northern Europe and visit Sweden!

Helsinki is a small town with only 2 major things. One is the church made completely from rock. It's like a church in a cave. It's really cool and I would totally go to church there if I lived in Helsinki. The other is the town market located on the town square. People sell things from boats, there are tents full of goods, and the fish still have heads and tails! The fish looked and smelt reallly good, but I didn't eat them because of the head and tails. I bought a wolf shirt and a solid silver necklace that says Made in Finland on it. Then it poured rain and we went back on the ship, so I don't really have more to tell you. Sorry.

There is so much to see and do in St. Petersburg!! We took a 2-day tour and I don't think we even saw everything!! We went to the Hermatage, the Summer Palace, the Winter Palace, the Church of Spilt Blood, and Catherine's Palace. We also took a boat ride. There was so much to see and do it would take for-ev-er to write out! So just go visit St. Petersburg yourself! You'll have fun and see A LOT. But beware, there are over 40,000 tourists in most of the places listed above EACH DAY between May and August. 

In Tallinn, we took a cab to the Olde Towne. We went in a church and to the market. There really is not much in Tallinn. We also climbed up a brick wall tower thing which was a waste of time. Its a pretty little town, but there isn't much to see or do. To me, it seemed like a smaller version of Russia. Everyone spoke Russian, too.
