This year I thought it would be fun to donate the proceeds as well. I'd chosen Child Helpline International as they support toll-free child helplines worldwide, and help highlight gaps in child protection systems. I'd like to thank everyone who picked up a copy of "No Hope for Gomez!" or "Unspent Time", and I'm happy to be report that we raised over a thousand dollars for the CHI. Hey guys! This is for authors!  Book Twirps  is about to launch the first ever Young Adult New Summer Reads competition. Our hope is to find a hidden gem in a book that may otherwise go unnoticed. This competition is available to any book (published or self-published). The only stipulation is that it must be published between January 1 and August 1, 2011. Also, only the author, author’s agent or author’s publisher may submit the book. Since this is the first year of the competition, our resources are a bit limited, so we will only be accepting novels in the final categories: Contemporary Teen Fiction & Teen Romance Paranormal/Fantasy & Dystopian Teen Fiction Submissions will begin April 15 and go through April 30, 2011.
