Wolves of the Beyond
From the same person who inspired the movie "Guardians of Ga'hoole," comes a story of a pup, who was abandoned from his pack for having a twisted paw. He was put onto a river of ice, and the Obea (The ugliest wolf of the pack) smashed the ice beneath him, where he was supposed to drown. But the ice flood carried him to safe land, where a bear, who had cubs that were recently killed by a mountain lion, found him and gave him warmth and milk. The bears name was "Thunderheart" and she named the pup "Faolan" since in wolf and bear language, Fao means 'river' and 'wolf', and lan means 'gift'. Thunderheart raises Faolan the ways a bear would raise her cubs, and when tragedy strikes, Faolan must fend for himself.
